Privacy Policy

Prepared by Muhammad Zeeshan · Last updated

This Privacy Policy explains how Copperline Restoration (“Copperline,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit copperlinerestoration.com (the “Site”), call the phone number shown on the Site, or submit a request for help. By using the Site or contacting us, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

Copperline is a free referral service. We connect property owners and managers in the United States with independent, locally operating water and fire damage restoration companies. We do not perform restoration work ourselves. The contractors you are connected with are independent businesses, not employees or agents of Copperline; each one quotes, performs and bills its own work and is responsible for its own licenses, insurance and handling of your information.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit a request or call us, we collect:

  • Contact details: your name, phone number and, if you choose to give it, your email address.
  • Property and request details: what happened, whether water is still coming in, your ZIP code, property type, whether you own, rent or manage the property, how soon you need help, whether you plan an insurance claim, and any notes you add.
  • Call information: if you call, the phone number you call from, the date, time and length of the call, and, where permitted by law, a recording of the call.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Site, we and our service providers may collect:

  • Device and usage information, such as device type, browser, pages viewed, the page you submitted a request from and the website that referred you.
  • Campaign information, such as UTM parameters and advertising click identifiers (for example, Google Ads “gclid”), stored in your browser for up to 30 days so we can tell which ads or searches lead to requests.
  • A one-way hashed form of your IP address, used only to limit repeated or automated submissions. We do not store your raw IP address with your request.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, payment card numbers, bank details, Social Security numbers, health information or other sensitive personal information.

3. How we use your information

  • To connect you with an independent restoration company that serves your area and to pass along the details of your request.
  • To contact you by phone, text or email about your request.
  • To operate, secure and improve the Site, including preventing spam, fraud and abuse.
  • To measure the performance of our website and advertising.
  • To review call quality and resolve complaints.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. How we share your information

With restoration companies. To fulfil your request, we share it with independent restoration companies that serve your area, usually one and never more than three. These companies may pay us for the introduction. Once a company receives your request, its own privacy practices apply to how it uses your information, and you should contact that company directly about information it holds.

With service providers. We use vendors for website hosting, call routing and tracking, lead delivery, analytics and advertising measurement. They may use your information only to provide services to us and are required to keep it confidential.

For legal reasons. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena or court order, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Copperline, our users or others.

Business transfers. If Copperline is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers, and we do not share it with unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

5. Phone calls, texts and consent

When you call the number on this Site, you agree to be connected with an independent restoration company that serves your area. Calls may be recorded for quality and training where permitted by law. By submitting a request, you agree that Copperline and up to three restoration companies it shares your request with may call or text the number you provide about that request, including by automated means. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to any text message to opt out of further texts, or ask any caller to stop calling you.

6. Cookies, analytics and advertising

The Site uses browser storage and may use cookies and similar technologies, including Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking and call tracking, to understand how visitors use the Site and which advertising leads to requests. These providers may collect information about your use of the Site over time. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com, and opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.

7. How long we keep information

We keep request records and call information for as long as needed to deliver the service, handle questions or disputes, and meet legal, accounting and reporting obligations, and then delete or de-identify them. Browser-stored campaign information expires after 30 days.

8. How we protect information

The Site is served over encrypted HTTPS connections, requests are delivered to restoration companies over secure channels, and access to stored requests is limited to people and providers who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can opt out of further calls or texts at any time. Depending on the state you live in (for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may also have the right to obtain a copy of your information, to opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information as those laws define it, and to appeal our decision on your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

To make a request, contact us through our contact page. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and you may use an authorized agent where state law allows. Requests about information held by a restoration company you were connected with should also be sent to that company.

10. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

The Site links to other websites, such as government licensing boards and map services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites, and we encourage you to read their policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.

13. Contact us
